Information Guide Mtwapa City Mombasa Coast

Kilifi County Council will receive a 500 million Ksh grant from the United Nations for slum upgrading and infrastructure development. Mtwapa has been included in the UN Habitat programme, the money will be channelled through Participatory Slum Upgrading Programme to improve the general infrastructure of Mtwapa.

As far as I know there aren't any real slums in Mtwapa, though there are some very basic 'houses' around the place, there is however an almost complete lack of infrastructure, building and development have exploded with virtually no infrastructure to support it.

Wonder how much of the 500 million will make it to Mtwapa?
