They are not open yet, still working on the swimming pool and finishing the rooms.

Just a question, have you read the reviews on Trip Advisor about the Indiana they are not very good. For many years I used to stay in hotels along  Bamburi, but they have out priced me so I now stay in Mtwapa I still do the beach most days along Bamburi via matatu 20bob each way and now stay for a month or so for less than half of what I used to pay for hotels

Where do you go in Mtwapa CTM?

I wand to stay in Mtwapa and look for a apartment to furnish next time.

Now I first have to rent something furnished, what can you recommend?

Hi Hans my last couple of visits I have stayed in local hotels, whilst checking out various apartments I was there in December and January, but being the festive season I couldn't get a resonable price. If you go on google and type in "Mombasa cheap accommodation in the village" and follow link to Trip advisor mombasa forum there's an article that maybe of help,also you may try hyvens aparments who have  both furnished/unfunished rooms for rent and the Hibiscus lodge both have web sites. For  hotels I have stayed at the Kumbe and the costa both very reasonable prices hope this helps, Trevor

HotelKumbe.com  and Hibiskuslodge.com The Kumbe on main road near to Tuskys and Hibiskus just down beach road nice pool. I did email the owner but no reply she seems a bit laid back it's a case of just turn up! having spoken with her Kenyan husband  it was fully booked being christmas all year prices 1050bob per night, and Kumbe about 1500bob this time of year

Hyvens do not have a web page, but you can get the details by going to Africaguide.com or email Kaninicecilia@ymail.com I found this place also, and they emaied me back but again all rooms taken over the festive season.

Two years ago I stayed at Merry Villa so I was planning to go there again.

Now I found a bad review for them on here.

It is not what I experienced back than, it was clean, new, equiped and the staffs were friendI start to doubt to stay in Mtwapa but I have enough advises to move from here.
